This Geordie Shore star's diet book advises people to eat 800 calories a day
PA WIRE PA WIRE
COLLEGE STUDENTS and people in the habit of watching MTV reality shows will probably know of Holly Hagan, one of the cast members of Geordie Shore.
Spurred on by seeing herself on the telly, Hagan lost three stone in three years and wrote about the process in her first book, Holly’s Body Bible.

But her new book, Lose Five Pounds In One Week, advises eating just 800 calories a day and doing a lot of cardio to quickly lose weight – and people are not impressed.
It all came to a head after Hagan shared an Instagram photo from a fan, who revealed she’d eaten exactly 758 calories that day.

“This is less than a small child should eat. This is NOT healthy,” wrote one user.
Another said:
The recommended daily calorie intake for women is around 2000 calories a day, while men need around 2500 – and we’ve all heard about people doing quick-fix diets, then putting the weight straight back on afterwards.
Personal trainer Max Bridger told the Daily Mail that Hagan’s diet plan will probably not be sustainable in the long term:

But a spokesperson for Hagan said that the diet is not supposed to be a long-term thing:
